Lars Vilks

Lars Vilks Served as the State Secretary in Ladonia from 1997 until his death in 2021. He was the creator and founder of Ladonia, who fought a decade of court battles to protect it, and then served as the first and only Chancellor of Ladonia from 1996–1997 (at which time the first election was held).

As the State Secretary, Vilks wrote and maintained the Ladonia New Herald (the State run newspaper), processed requests for new citizenship, and accepted requests for noble titles. Additionally, Vilks worked on Nimis almost daily from the time he began the work in 1980 through 2021, even while living under 24/7 police protection.
